Team Breakdowns

JV team (White)
  • Tumbling- somersault, cartwheel, round off, bridge, walkover, etc.
  • Stunting- extension preps, press up extension, extension liberty, straight cradle, etc.
  • Basket tosses- straight rides & single skill baskets 
  • Jumps- single & double combinations

JV team (Blue)
  • Tumbling- standing and/or running front handspring, backhand spring, multiple backhand springs, back tuck, layout, etc.
  • Stunting- liberty, switch-ups, low to highs, advanced body positions, twist cradle, etc. 
  • Co-ed skills- toss, toss chair, assisted one man, etc.
  • Basket tosses- two skill baskets 
  • Jumps- double and triple combinations & jump(s) to skill

Varsity (Red)
  • Tumbling- standing back tuck, jumps to tuck, standing series, & running layout, whip, full, specialty passes, etc.
  • Stunting- full up, full arounds, 1½ up, double up, twist cradle, advanced body positions, etc.
  • Co-ed skills- toss hands, unassisted one man, twist cradle, liberty, etc.
  • Basket tosses- three & four skill baskets 
  • Jumps- quadruple and five jump combinations & multiple jumps to tuck 

Summer Season

  • Tryouts are not held (DO NOT HAVE CUTS)

  • Two to three teams: JV (White), JV (Blue), and Varsity (Red)

  • Cheerleaders will participate in summer camp sessions to build fundamentals and get to know the members of the program

Fall Season

  • Tryouts are held (WE DO HAVE CUTS)

  • Two to three teams: JV (White), JV (Blue), and Varsity (Red)

  • Cheerleaders will cheer at all home and away football games, keep up with skills for competition season, & take part in performances and school or volunteer events throughout the season

Winter Season

  • ​Tryouts are held (WE DO HAVE CUTS)

  • Two teams: JV (Blue), and Varsity (Red)

  • Our main focus this season is competition and Varsity’s qualification to the IHSA State Series

  • Additionally, athletes will cheer at all home (boy and girl) basketball games

*These are typical standard skills per team, each year skills may differ. 

 A cheerleader may be moved up or down levels at any time.
